Food doesn’t have to be bland to be good for you. Eating healthy in Detroit is even easier when there are so many different options. SEASONS MARKET & CAFÉ
Open daily from 8am to 7pm (except Tuesday), enjoy the newly opened Seasons Market featuring the Garden Cafe. Sustainability should be in the name, considering that these are pure recycled materials. Seasons Market also pays the many Michigan-based grocers fair wages for its produce. Choose from a variety of packed lunches such as salads, cereal bowls and baked goods. Best of all, everything is curated from local producers like Yum Village, Avalon Bakery, and Detroit Vegan Soul. Guests can enjoy their lunch and take a seat upstairs in the market’s loft with nearly 360-degree views of the surrounding neighborhood. Take advantage of al fresco dining in the garden and meet on the al fresco garden terrace. click HERE to visit their website.

Family-run brand Trap Vegan debuted in Detroit’s Green Acres neighborhood on the West Side in November to offer more on-the-go vegan options. Owner Jasmine Raiford has devised a menu that challenges the meat eater to a taste war with their favorite comfort foods. Visit a selection of vegan burgers like the BJ Burger, made with grilled jackfruit and topped with grilled onions, mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, avocado spread and the spot’s “trap sauce” – all served on a grilled brioche Bread roll. Expect a variety of smoothies, juices, acai bowls, salads, and loaded nachos, too. Trap Vegan offers a 100% plant-based menu that includes acai bowls, salads, and loaded nachos. Not to mention the best smoothies and raw juices in Detroit. HERE to view their website.
