And there’s never been a better time to enjoy the delicious produce at Haverfordwest Farmers Market!
Held in Castle Square every Friday between 9am and 2pm, the market is now home to more than 20 stallholders selling fresh, local, seasonal produce from Pembrokeshire and its borders.
The products include seasonal vegetables and fruit, award-winning beef, pork and lamb with organic selection, freshly farmed fish and poultry, sourdough and other homemade breads, farm cheese, homemade cakes and jams and much more – including beautiful cut flowers, soft alpaca wool products and more Handicrafts.
Cllr Paul Miller, Cabinet Member for Business, Tourism, Leisure and Culture, encouraged everyone to support the market.
“By shopping at our farmers markets, you not only get to choose from a delicious selection of products, but you also support local businesses that have worked so hard – especially over the past 18 months – and are a valued part of Pembrokeshire’s economy,” said Cllr Miller.
Joe Welch, Pembrokeshire County Council’s Market Manager and Food Representative, praised the stallholders for allowing the market to continue during the closings.
“Haverfordwest was one of the few who managed to keep going, albeit on a smaller scale, which was very much appreciated by its customers,” she said. “In addition, a new order and collection system was introduced that has proven itself and proven to be very popular.”
She added: “We are also pleased that many new customers are using the market and we look forward to many more!”
